The Saints never should have been there and they know it. All those bad calls against the Vikings in the playoffs. I would be embarassed if I were a S'aints fan. I wouldn't want to win that way.

Didn't anyone notice there were almost no flags throne? That's 'cause the refs knew to shut the hell up after giving the playoffs to the Saints.

Good game anyway.

Seems like there are always guys hatin after every super bowl. I for one was glad to see the saints win. I think the saints got there because they picked Favre off a bunch of times.

They picked him off twice. One of which should have been called for roughing the passer. Three days after that hit happened (the one that Favre got hurt on btw), the NFL officials said that they should have called roughing the passer because two saints players hit him high and low, which is illegal.

I'm not going to blame the refs, as much as I want to. A team can't win a game with 5 turnovers. It just can't happen. However, the Vikings got extremely close to pulling that off.

Ok Saints beat the Vikings fair and square. It's not the Saints fault for capitalizing on the 100 fumbles by Peterson. And you can't hate on them for the NFL having the absolute WORST overtime rules using sudden death, first to score is first to win.

Either way Saints haters, get outta here with your jargon. Saints won, they are the champs! My family is all from New Orleans and they've been waiting MANY years to see this day. Saints have one of the most dedicated owners in the league. They deserved it.

Colts were up 10-0 and let the Saints come back. Who's fault is that? SAINTS TORE IT UP.

Fair and square? Remind me never to buy a used car from you.j/k. Sudden death sux true but it fits better into the time slot allowed for a football game by the networks and that's what really counts isn't it?

I think it was a commie plot to boost the moral of the people in New Orleans after katrina and the botched relief effort. If they let the Saints win it glorifies an entire regin, if they let the Vikings win or the Colts for that matter it only glorifies one man. The Saints beat the Colts Not the Vikings.

Oh yea, and that interception in the 4th quarter didn't hurt either

Saints won. yea team... GO CUBS!!! screw it. I hate baseball.

I think beating a team fair and square is playing with some sense of sportsmanship. How many penalties did the Saints have for unsportsmanlike conduct in the Vikings game? Three? Four? More could have been called.

wow, some folks are shitty losers.

-Saints were in the refs pocket:D
-Saints are unsportsmanlike:D
-Saints won in overtime which is not fair:D

Take any and ALL situations, apply to YOUR team, and see if that shit is still lame to you. Call it luck, call it cheating, call it pity, but call it at least one thing: A FUCKING SUPER BOWL WIN!

it would be naive to say the owner doesn't care about money, but honestly he seems like one of the few legit owners in the NFL.. he held onto the Saints for soooo long even with season after season of not winning the superbowl.

that's dedication.
