On a more serious note...how is Toyota going to be able to recover from this? The amount of money they must be losing because of halted sales and mass recalls must be staggering. They are in for large fines and loss of consumer confidence in the future as well. |

A general figure I've been quoted at work (Honda) was 60 billion.. this includes recalls, replacement parts, alerting the public, investigations, and lawsuits. I hate it for Toyota, but it's doing wonders for us  |

I was watching the Colbert Report last night and he showed the CEO giving a formal apology then Colbert said "i thought when the Japanese apologize they were supposed to commit suicide? Well in all fairness he did drive away in a toyota"
