John Travolta's 16 teenage son Jett is dead, wow what a great start to the new year.
Jett suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome

that sucks, but at least he got to see the new year with his dad.
No matter who it happens to it's always sad for someone to lose their child.

Yeah, it's BS that his family didn't acknowledge his real disease, maybe he'd still be alive. Poor, poor kid.

Very sad indeed. It's never nice to hear of someone far too young passing through no fault of their own.

I've been hanging out on the bike forums too much; I was thinking Kawasaki Syndrome was something like this;

I have been watching/listening to stuff about his son and honestly I have come to the conclusion of the media being bias against scientology and trying to blame that.

They say "oh he wasn't given a medication and that caused his death blah blah" but what the media fails to mention is the severe liver damage Jett would have incurred from taking that medication.

funny how that works. I don't like scientology but we can't blame that just because the media says so.

Yeah the media is always out to make money from their sponsors by starting a bunch of drama and point fingers at people who don't need to be pointed at just to get ratings. My wife is a Speech Pathologist and works with a bunch of autistic kids. She showed me a video of Jett in Paris, and from what she could tell by the video, the kid had looks like he had autism. Their are some meds that can help with it, but therapy seems to be what helps them the most. And who knows, maybe he was in therapy and maybe he was doing fine till the incident. The media likes to twist things.

It definitely wasn't autism that caused his death though, from what I understand.

You'd be surprised how some parents don't want to know so bad that they go into denial. My oldest grand daughter has shown signs of autism including under developed speech. My son and I have been discussing this for a few months now. He insists she has been tested and the results were negative. I want to have her retested and be there for it. He does not.
